Brightpoint Launches Fono Wireless Retail Concept

PLAINFIELD, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2005--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL) announced today that its subsidiary, Brightpoint Activation Services LLC ("Brightpoint"), unveiled a new licensed retail concept with the opening of the first "Fono Wireless" licensed retail location in Noblesville, Indiana. Brightpoint will license the Fono Wireless brand to qualified retailers that will own and operate each store location. Brightpoint will provide these licensees with a variety of services including site location selection, retail merchandising design, employee training, unique products and services, and ongoing marketing support. Through this program, qualified licensees will be authorized to promote and sell products and services offered by leading telecommunication providers such as Sprint Nextel, Virgin Mobile, Vonage -The Broadband Company, and Sirius Satellite Radio through Brightpoint's Master Agent Programs.
