Cingular has finally launched their new Push-To-Talk (PTT) service, along with two new handsets to utilize the functionality.
The Cingular PTT service has the same core functionality made famous by the Nextel iDEN network, but also adds the convenience of easy group calling, a handy 'Buddy List' to allow you to see if the other person is available to talk before making a PTT call, and an easy way to switch a PTT call over to the cellular network. Cingular is offering the LG F7200 for the new service, and will have the Samsung D357 available soon.
Customers can get unlimited Push-To-Talk minutes for $9.99USD per line for national plans, or for $19.99USD for all lines in a family talk plan.
