Seiko Bluetooth Watch for Cell Phones

You get some of the latest devices first in Japan. This new Seiko Bluetooth watch for mobile phones is one such device. Apparently unveiled in 2001, a working prototype has now been made available by the folks there.

A large display adorns the wrist-watch, and it shows info about your cell phone - for example, stuff like battery condition, network strength and even new SMS messages. Of course, to get the SMS subject and sender on the phone, a special piece of software from Seiko has to be first installed on the phone (which presumably listens to incoming messages and sends new ones to the watch).
