Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition Phone
Nokia unveiled the new Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition, an enhanced version of the 5500 Sport cell phone that now comes with a 512MB microSD card and now available in a new color. A part of the XpressMusic brand, the 5500 Sport Music Edition continues Nokia's commitment to lifestyle products.The Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition is a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) phone that features an integrated pedometer, letting you calculate the distance traveled and calories burned. With an optional GPS module, you can track distances on your biking tour as well.The phone can even support TTS (text-to-speech) technology - with just two taps, the phone can read aloud your SMS messages. Nokia will be bundling a few useful accessories with the phone, like a fitness carrying strap, bicycle holder and sports headset.A dedicated button on the device lets you activate one of three phone modes: music mode, sports mode or phone mode. The 5500 Sport Music Edition comes with a 2 megapixel camera.Priced at €350, the Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition is now out in Europe. No word yet on its US availability.
