Two More HSDPA S60 Phones Announced

At the Symbian Smartphone Show today both LG and Samsung announced new S60 sliders running S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. This is the same version that the Nokia N95, the first S60 HSDPA slider, runs and includes the new unified web browser, video ringtones and other features. Both models have GSM / EDGE / HSDPA but are unlikely to come to the US in this initial incarnation. Samsung i520: A slim slider that features a 2.3 inch QVGA screen, 2 Megapixel external camera plus VGA video calling camera, MicroSD slot and Bluetooth with A2DP stereo. It also has capacitive navigation buttons like the LG Chocolate. LG JoY: Has many of the same features as the Samsung - including the 2 Megapixel camera and VGA video call camera. It is not known whether it also includes stereo Bluetooth. The JoY has a slightly larger 2.4" QVGA display.
